The gentleman playing the piano was very talented; at our last visit, it wasn't very loud and conversation was easy. This visit, the volume was a bit higher and having a conversation across the table was a bit more difficult. Perhaps we should have been seated somewhere else if we wanted to talk during the meal.
A very bad T-bone. Wonderful bartender to serve it, but the steak was really tough. Maybe they do something else better, but since this is my second time here, and my last time was bad, too, I’m passing on this pace in the future.
Good experience not great. Food could have been warmer. Taste was delicious. Since it is a high price restaurant I am being picky.
Our waitress was very attentive, but she seemed to let little things slip (forgot bread, forgot an extra side of sour cream for one of my companions,etc). There was some confusion about our waitress at the beginning of our visit; we thought we were being served by Rochelle (she was our waitress last time and was fantastic). They worked it out between themselves.
My husband and I enjoy The Alley so much! Our experience Saturday night was top notch! Though I didn't get the bartender's name, he created the most artfully crafted cocktails that I've ever had in Murray. The food is excellent and the ambiance is top notch. It's always a treat to go there!!!
This was my second visit to The Alley. It's still a shock to walk up the stairs and find this absolutely stunning oasis of food and fun above the bowling alley. This visit our food was very good. I still think the filet is one of the best in western kentucky. The lobster bisque is surprisingly good so far from the ocean. I sampled everything, but I made the pork chop my meal. The flavor was great; it was a bit drier than the last time I sampled it.
Would recommend for *anybody* looking for a fantastic meal in Murray. It's the only restaurant of this quality in Murray / Benton / Mayfield area. You'll have to go to Paducah to get anything else nearly so good.
It was beautiful amd was like stepping back into the 40's. The setup and menu options were magnifico!
